Study on Mark and Spiritual Direction

We have two upcoming opportunities for Adults to grow in their faith, a Sunday morning series on the Gospel of Mark and mid-week Group Spiritual Direction.

The First Gospel – The Gospel of Mark is centered in the baptism, transfiguration, and crucifixion of Jesus.  The evangelist depicts a faith in Jesus that is counter-cultural to both Judaism and the Greco-Roman world.  Join Pastor Jared to learn more on Sunday mornings in Lent at 10:30am, beginning this Sunday, February 18th.

Koinonia: Group Spiritual Direction – Koinonia, meaning fellowship or communion, will allow participants to create a safe space, share openly, listen actively, practice self-reflection, experience silent meditation, and pray together.  Group Spiritual Direction can be a useful spiritual discipline to help participants explore their faith.  Pr. Jared will walk with a group of participants for 8 weeks as they use the Group Spiritual Direction tools.  Koinonia will gather on Mondays from 1-2pm in the Peace Lutheran Library, beginning on February 26th (through May 14th).  Contact Pr. Jared for more information or to sign-up.
