This week we will look at Parts 4 & 5: Ecclesiology and Legacy

Ecclesiology and Polity – Our way of understanding what it means to live as the church and how we organize ourselves for being church.

Watch Part 4 and reflect on the following question:  What specific gifts in this part of our life (ecclesiology and polity) do you think others recognize in our congregation’s life?  What ways are there of understanding and being church together that you would like to see strengthened in our congregation?  (comment on our facebook page: )

Legacy – The gifts that come from our history and story within Christ’s church.

Watch Part 5 and reflect on the following question:  What gifts of our legacy as the ELCA are most important in your context?   (comment on our facebook page: )

Closing Prayer (Martin Luther’s Evening Prayer):

I give thanks to you, heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ your dear Son, that you have graciously protected me today.  I ask you to forgive me all my sins, where I have done wrong, and graciously to protect me tonight.  Into your hands I commend myself: my body, my soul, and all that is mine.  Let your holy angel be with me, so that the wicked foe may have no power over me. Amen.
